Preschool Program Overview

Cornerstone Christian Preschool is designed to provide a strong early education program where the whole child can grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, physically and academically. Our program is designed for children, by educated Christian teachers that understand the needs of young children. 

Children often find comfort in routine, knowing what to expect next. We designed a Preschool day that is structured to provide a balance of activities to meet the whole child. The teachers begin by making age appropriate lesson plans based on thematic units. These themes are presented using a variety of teaching methods to meet the learning styles of each child. Our curriculum includes hands-on learning experiences, creative arts, science, manipulatives, music, dramatic and outdoor play. Our program also makes time for rest, nourishment, prayer, Bible teaching, teacher directed circle times, literature based activities, pre-writing and reading skills.  We realize the best laid plans can take a detour and we allow for child directed curriculum to emerge... If we see a butterfly, we will chase it, and research it! 

Our ultimate goal and prayer is to have each child leave our Preschool with the love of learning that prepares them for Kindergarten and beyond.
