Message From the Administrator...
“Exciting and engaging learning” is how I would describe Cornerstone's Middle School program. Teachers pour time, love, energy and thought into each lesson to ensure maintaining the student’s interest. The weekly chapel program is filled with student led activities and worship, as well as guest speakers who challenge students to follow Christ. Being part of a chapel program where students are actively worshiping the Lord in song is amazing! School spirit is alive with team sports building Christian character and friendships. The science program is prepared to glorify God and see His handiwork in every aspect of science. Several hands on activities provide keen interest and excitement in learning. The academic rigor prepares the students well for higher education. There are so many good things happening in our Middle School! Please feel free to contact me with any cares, concerns, or questions you may have.
In His Service,
Middle School Program Overview
Morning snacks are provided by students. For those staying through lunch, they can either bring a lunch or purchase one through the school's hot lunch program.
Immunizations must be up-to-date before entry to the program.
We love our uniforms, and feel they play an important role in alleviating potential competition among students. We also don't want obtaining uniforms to be a hardship for any of our families. Click the link below for our 2018-2019 Uniform Policy, and for uniform purchasing options.
The Middle School program at Cornerstone Christian School consists primarily of an academically advanced high school preparatory course of study that includes the following core curriculum class: Bible, Math, English, Science, and Social Studies. To support the core curriculum, the following elective courses are also offered: Art, Culinary, Drama, Computer Technology, Digital Photography/Memory Book, Spanish, and Study Skills. Honors classes are available in English for students in grades 7 and 8, based upon student eligibility. The middle school operates on a traditional class schedule, consisting of seven periods, each spanning fifty minutes, plus five-minute passing periods.
EDC is offered to our middle school students after school, from 3pm-6pm. Students are provided with snacks, homework room availability, and access to the playground and sports field. Middle schoolers are supervised in an area separate from elementary students while they are in the school building.
