Nick was born and raised in San Mateo, about 15 minutes south of San Francisco. After graduating from St. Francis High School in Mountain View, he attended UC Santa Barbara where he received his bachelor’s degree in History with a minor in English through the honors program. He then earned his master’s degree in Education and his Secondary Teaching Credential from the University of Phoenix. He has been a member of the Cornerstone family since 2010.
In his spare time, Nick thoroughly enjoys spending time in the Word of God and simply being with his wife Jeni. He and Jeni are active participants in the children’s heart disease community, as Jeni was born with only half of a functioning heart (Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome). They volunteer as counselors at Camp del Corazon, a camp for children with congenital heart disease where Jeni was also a camper for 9 years. Nick also enjoys competing in endurance sports like triathlon, running, and cycling.
“Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
